Panchase

Who this is for

Oak and rhododendron, Gurung villages, Dhaulagiri and Annapurna from a 2,500 m ridge.

Panchase is the quiet three-day loop west of Pokhara. Forest, ridge, and village lodges rather than high tea-house traffic. From the ridge you can see Dhaulagiri and the Annapurna line on a clear morning. Typical length is two to three days; we hold three so the middle night sits near 2,500 m without rushing the descent.

Difficulty and altitude

Panchase is a Easy walk of 3 days, with a high point around 2500 m. We pace for acclimatisation, not a brochure summit morning.

Best time to go

Typical season: October–May. October–November and March–April are the classic Himalayan windows. We close or reroute when cloud and rain make the view a fiction.

Permits and what is included

Annapurna routes include ACAP and usually TIMS, processed in Pokhara. Restricted valleys (Mustang, Manaslu, Tsum, Nar Phu) add a RAP filed through immigration. The quote lists permit days; there is no surprise at the checkpoint.
