Chitwan Jungle Safari

Who this is for

Classic Terai park package: jeep safari, canoe, lodge nights. Typically two to three days from Pokhara.

Chitwan National Park is the classic jungle add-on after a trek: shared or private transfer from Pokhara, lodge nights, jeep safari, and often a dugout canoe on the river. Rhinos and birds are the honest draw — tiger sightings are never guaranteed. Typical package is two to three days; we hold three.

Difficulty and altitude

Chitwan Jungle Safari is a Easy walk of 3 days, with a high point around 200 m. We pace for acclimatisation, not a brochure summit morning.

Best time to go

Typical season: October–May. October–November and March–April are the classic Himalayan windows. We close or reroute when cloud and rain make the view a fiction.

Permits and what is included

Annapurna routes include ACAP and usually TIMS, processed in Pokhara. Restricted valleys (Mustang, Manaslu, Tsum, Nar Phu) add a RAP filed through immigration. The quote lists permit days; there is no surprise at the checkpoint.
